MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641079940 A) filed by Sona College Of Technology on June 29, 2026, for Ai-Enabled Emotion-Adaptive Braille Learning And Assessment System For Visually Impaired Learners.

Inventors include Anitha Elavarasi S; Jayanthi J; and Naveen Raj Y.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an AI-enabled emotion-adaptive Braille learning and assessment system (100) for visually impaired learners. The system comprises a Braille learning device (110), an application platform (120), an emotion sensing module (130), an AI personalization engine (140), an avatar learning module (150), a learning analytics module (160), and a cloud database (170). The Braille learning device (110) provides tactile Braille outputs and receives learner-entered Braille inputs, while the emotion sensing module (130) acquires physiological signals through one or more biosensors. A machine-learning classifier (135), preferably an LSTM neural network, determines learner emotional states including frustration, boredom, confusion, and confidence. Based on the detected emotional state and learner performance data, the AI personalization engine (140) dynamically adapts instructional parameters, reinforcement activities, and feedback mechanisms. The system thereby establishes a continuous emotion- aware adaptive learning cycle that improves learner engagement, retention, and Braille literacy outcomes.
