Abstract: The rapid proliferation of intelligent electronic devices across smart homes, industrial automation, healthcare, and Internet of Things (IoT) environments has significantly increased the demand for advanced, intelligent, and adaptive security mechanisms. This invention proposes an AI-Enabled Embedded Hardware Security System for Intelligent Electronic Devices that integrates embedded hardware security with artificial intelligence to provide proactive protection against evolving cyber threats. The proposed system incorporates secure boot, hardware-based encryption, trusted execution, tamper detection, and AI-driven anomaly detection to safeguard device integrity, confidential data, and communication channels. By employing machine learning algorithms within a dedicated embedded security module, the system continuously monitors device behaviour, identifies abnormal activities, predicts potential attacks, and initiates autonomous security responses in real time. The architecture supports secure authentication, firmware integrity verification, access control, and encrypted data transmission while maintaining low computational overhead and energy efficiency. The proposed solution is scalable and adaptable to a wide range of intelligent electronic devices, including IoT nodes, wearable electronics, smart healthcare systems, industrial control systems, automotive electronics, and edge computing platforms. The integration of AI with embedded hardware security enhances threat detection accuracy, minimizes false positives, and strengthens resilience against malware, firmware manipulation, physical tampering, and unauthorized access. The invention provides a cost-effective, reliable, and future-ready cyber security framework for next-generation intelligent electronic systems.
