Inventors include Dr. S. Revathi; Dr. B. Dhanalakshmi; Dr. V. Muthupriya; Dr. Niyati Kumari Behera; Dr. I. Karthiga; and Ms. A. Snegaa.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: An AI-enabled cyber-physical monitoring system and method for secure industrial Internet of Things applications receive physical-process measurements and cyber- event data from industrial data sources, validate and normalize the data, and form a contextual representation linking process behaviour with device, network, identity, and configuration information. An artificial intelligence engine evaluates the representation to determine anomalous behaviour and a risk output. A trust and policy verification unit evaluates a proposed response against authorization information and process constraints before a response orchestrator initiates a permitted action, requests operator review, or escalates the event. The system may perform monitoring at an edge node during upstream connectivity interruption and synchronize selected records when connectivity is restored. A traceable audit repository associates the relevant data references, quality indicators, model and policy versions, risk output, authorization result, and response outcome. The architecture supports context-aware industrial monitoring while maintaining controlled response authority and decision traceability. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2].
