Abstract: ABSTRACT AI ENABLED CHILD CARE MONITORING SYSTEM The invention discloses an AI-enabled child care monitoring system designed to ensure continuous safety, health supervision, and intelligent management of infants and toddlers. The system integrates embedded hardware, IoT sensors, and deep learning algorithms into a unified framework. A Raspberry Pi 3 Model B serves as the central processing unit, interfaced with a webcam for real-time video capture. Captured video streams are processed using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models, enabling automatic detection of abnormal child behaviors such as excessive crying, unsafe sleeping posture, or unusual movements. Complementary monitoring is achieved through a load cell with HX711 amplifier for weight measurement and presence detection, and an ultrasonic sensor for proximity analysis to identify unsafe crib-edge conditions. Sensor data acquisition is managed by an Arduino Nano, which preprocesses inputs before transmission to the Raspberry Pi for centralized decision-making. Emergency alerts are generated via a SIM800L GSM module, ensuring caregiver notification through SMS or calls even without internet connectivity. Additionally, the invention supports vaccination tracking, feeding schedule reminders, and growth monitoring, offering a holistic, scalable, and cost-effective solution that transforms child care monitoring from passive observation into active risk prevention and intelligent supervision.
