Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-driven system and method for employee skill-gap analysis, workforce optimization, and resource allocation. The system provides an integrated computational framework for automatically acquiring, processing, analyzing, and transforming heterogeneous workforce and organizational data into machine-processable competency representations for intelligent workforce planning and resource deployment. The system acquires structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from employee profiles, resumes, human-resource information systems, project management platforms, learning-management systems, certification records, performance records, assessment results, project histories, and organizational databases. A preprocessing and normalization engine cleans and standardizes the acquired information, while an artificial intelligence-based skill intelligence engine applies natural language processing, semantic analysis, machine-learning models, competency embeddings, and/or knowledge representations to identify skills and determine semantic relationships between differently expressed or transferable competencies. The system generates multidimensional employee skill profiles representing proficiency, experience, competency recency, certifications, project exposure, assessment performance, and associated confidence parameters. Corresponding requirement profiles are generated for projects, tasks, roles, or anticipated workforce requirements.
