Abstract: This invention relates to a self-healing test automation framework driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI) for intelligent software testing. The disclosed framework generates test cases from software requirement documentations, user stories, and API specifications with the help of AI techniques, thus minimizing manual efforts and increasing test coverage. At the time of test execution, a self-healing capability detects any changes in application elements, finds alternative object locators, and updates the automation script without any manual effort. The framework also utilizes machine learning techniques to analyze historical defect information, code changes, execution logs, and software metrics to identify high-risk software modules and prioritize testing efforts. Furthermore, a continuous learning mechanism helps in enhancing the performance of test case generation, self-healing, and defect identification during successive execution. Intelligent reports comprising execution summary, defect trends, risk scores, and recommendations are also created for developers and quality assurance professionals. This invention framework increases the reliability of test automation, lowers maintenance cost, speeds up defect identification, and improves software quality. The framework is useful in web, mobile, API, enterprise, and cloud-based applications with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
