Abstract: An AI-driven quantum-assisted intrusion detection system for secure cloud environments is disclosed. The system acquires multi-layer cloud telemetry and forms adaptive behavioural feature windows associated with identities, workloads, services and resources. A trusted-baseline manager maintains context-specific behavioural profiles using gated updates that inhibit contamination by suspicious observations. A feature-selection controller selects an informative feature subset for quantum- compatible encoding, and a hybrid anomaly inference engine generates a classical artificial-intelligence anomaly score, a quantum-assisted deviation score and an uncertainty measure. Quantum-assisted evaluation is selectively invoked for ambiguous or contextually significant observations, thereby controlling computational overhead. A threat-context graph correlates temporally related weak anomalies across cloud layers to identify multi-stage intrusion paths. A confidence and risk fusion engine uncertainty-weights the quantum-assisted score together with classical anomaly, graph correlation, asset criticality and trust information to generate composite intrusion risk and response confidence. A policy orchestrator selects proportionate monitoring, authentication, restriction, isolation or blocking actions and feeds event disposition back to baseline and calibration components.
