Abstract: This patent shows how a smart app can look at someone's feelings and make suggestions for songs to listen to at that time by using AI and deep learning technology. The app will analyze data inputted by the user in order to categorize their emotional state at that moment. Through a secure API connection with a cloud-based AI service, the app will also analyze the data inputted and provide real-time emotion feedback after analyzing the user’s emotion data. The app will link the user’s emotional data to musical attributes, such as mood, energy, tempo, and genre. The app will provide personalized playlists based on the user’s emotions by retrieving music from a music streaming service. The software will suggest recommendations according to how the user feels or what they need (relief, satiety, etc.), as well as helping the user manage their emotions in some way (Relaxation Techniques for Stress Relief) and recommending other ways to manage emotions for their wellness, mental health or to enhance their experience while engaging with media formats. This solution is designed to bridge the gap between traditional recommendations systems (which are based on static preferences/historical data) and 'real-time' emotional intelligence created using current feelings/emotions by allowing for the scalability/flexibility of the recommendation process, depending on the type(s) of platforms, behaviors and emotional patterns the user displays.
