Abstract: AI-Driven Emotion-Aware Food Recommendation System with IoT-Based Calorie Estimation The present invention relates to an AI-driven emotion-aware personalized nutrition management system with IoT-based calorie estimation for providing adaptive and real-time meal recommendations according to the emotional and physical condition of a user. The system captures facial images through a smartphone camera and detects emotional states using a DeepFace model to generate a personalized daily meal plan based on stored health information, nutritional requirements, and calorie intake of the user. Food images captured by the user are identified using a ResNet50 deep learning model, while an IoT-based weight sensing unit comprising a load cell, HX711 module, and ESP32 microcontroller measures real-time food weight for calorie and nutritional estimation. A decision engine compares identified food items and calculated nutritional values with the generated meal plan and detected emotional state to determine intake suitability of the food items. The system further supports multi-profile management, cloud-based synchronization, hydration reminders, and personalized nutritional guidance.
