Abstract: AI-Driven CAD/CAM Framework for Automated Design and Manufacturing of Sustainable Composite Material Components for Government Infrastructure and Public Transportation Applications ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an AI-Driven CAD/CAM Framework for Automated Design and Manufacturing of Sustainable Composite Material Components for Government Infrastructure and Public Transportation Applications. The framework integrates computer aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), artificial intelligence, material property analysis, manufacturing process optimization, and sustainability assessment to automate the development and production of composite material components. The system comprises a design input module, a material selection module, an AI-based design optimization engine, a composite material analysis module, a CAD model generation module, a CAM toolpath generation module, a manufacturing process control module, and a sustainability assessment module. The AI-based design optimization engine evaluates structural requirements, loading conditions, geometric constraints, material characteristics, manufacturing limitations, and environmental considerations to generate optimized component designs. The CAD model generation module produces three-dimensional component models, while the CAM module generates suitable manufacturing instructions based on selected fabrication techniques and equipment parameters. The manufacturing process control module monitors relevant production parameters to identify deviations and support quality improvement. The sustainability assessment module evaluates material utilization, manufacturing waste, energy consumption, durability, and potential recyclability to support environmentally responsible production. The framework is intended for manufacturing composite components used in bridges, public buildings, road infrastructure, railway systems, buses, and other public transportation applications. The proposed invention aims to improve design automation, manufacturing efficiency, structural performance, resource utilization, and sustainability through the intelligent integration of CAD/CAM technologies and artificial intelligence.
