MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611086414 A) filed by Chandigarh University on July 15, 2026, for Ai-Driven Autonomous Distributed System For Secure Context-Aware Opportunistic Cloud Data Synchronization.

Inventors include Kush Kumar; Khushi Singh; and Nitin Raj.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-driven autonomous distributed system for secure context-aware opportunistic cloud data synchronization employs a context- aware orchestration engine that continuously evaluates device health, network security, available resources, and user intent to optimize synchronization decisions in real time. A dynamic trust-score mechanism determines the security of the active network and adaptively controls the extent of data synchronization. An energy-harvesting relay feature transfers synchronization tasks from low-power devices to nearby powered devices within a local device mesh, reducing battery consumption and improving efficiency. The micro-packet fragmentation to prioritize synchronization of critical information and employs opportunistic networking to perform bandwidth- intensive transfers under favorable network conditions. An edge-based predictive AI engine analyzes contextual information locally to preserve user privacy while enhancing synchronization accuracy. Additionally, a fail-safe rollback mechanism restores the last verified data state following synchronization interruptions.
