Abstract: The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence-based video analysis system developed for identifying and interpreting emotional variations expressed by individuals over time. The system receives video input and performs frame-wise face localization to identify and track human faces across successive frames. Facial regions are extracted and processed using an emotion recognition model to determine the emotional state associated with each detected face. The predicted emotions are synchronized with temporal information to construct an emotion timeline representing changes in emotional states throughout the video. A temporal analysis mechanism examines consecutive emotional observations to identify significant transitions, persistence, and variations in emotional behaviour. The system generates a structured representation of detected emotions and their temporal changes, enabling efficient interpretation of emotional patterns in video content. By combining automated facial analysis with temporal emotion tracking, the proposed invention provides a scalable approach for understanding dynamic emotional behaviour without requiring manual video annotation.
