Abstract: The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence-based system and computer-implemented method for assessing right-to-privacy compliance during the processing of legal data. The system receives a legal document or a request to collect, use, store, disclose, transfer, or otherwise process legal data; extracts text and metadata; detects and classifies personal and sensitive information using natural-language processing, named-entity recognition, contextual pattern analysis, and configurable classification rules; and identifies privacy requirements applicable to the detected information. A compliance assessment unit evaluates the stated purpose, lawful basis, consent status, requester authority, intended recipient, data-minimisation requirement, retention period, transfer conditions, and applicable legal restrictions. The system generates a reasoned compliance result that permits, restricts, refers, or denies the proposed processing. Information not necessary for the approved legal purpose is masked, redacted, deleted, pseudonymised, or access-restricted. High-risk or legally ambiguous matters are routed to an authorised legal reviewer. Each automated and human decision is stored with the relevant document identifier, user identifier, rule version, reason, timestamp, and action in an auditable record. The system may further support privacy-rights requests and retention monitoring for legal records.
