Inventors include Mrs. Surisetty Pushpa; Ms. Sweety Ahlawat; Dr. Dhiraj Khurana; Ms. R. Latha Priyadharshini; Ms. Divya Rahul Bhatkar; M. Revathi; and Dharani R.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an AI-based system and method for automatic software bug prediction and self-validated repair. A version-identified software state, build information, dependency state, execution traces and machine-resource telemetry are correlated to construct a synchronized program-behaviour graph. A multimodal defect prediction engine determines a defect likelihood, defect class and probable defect locus from the graph. A context-constrained repair synthesizer generates multiple candidate repairs within machine-enforced interface, dependency, security, data-flow, resource and edit-scope constraints. Each candidate is executed in an isolated validation sandbox using a captured, replayed or synthesized execution condition corresponding to the predicted defect, and is evaluated for functional correction, regression behaviour, security compliance and processor, memory or other resource effects. A confidence and uncertainty gate selects a candidate for autonomous deployment only when mandatory invariants and configured thresholds are satisfied. Post-deployment telemetry is compared with an approved behavioural envelope, and a rollback controller restores a previous executable state upon unacceptable divergence. The disclosed architecture provides earlier defect detection, safer automated repair, reduced indiscriminate testing and improved computing-service availability. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2].
