MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641124485 A) filed by Sns College Of Technology on October 17, 2026, for Ai-Based Student Performance And Learning Assistant For Personalized Performance Prediction, Learning Gap Detection And Generative Ai-Based Learning Support.

Inventors include Dr K Sangeetha; Aarthi R; Aswin Thanga Blesso E; Divyasri N; and Sherin Paul P.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based student performance and learning assistant configured to analyze student academic and activity data for early performance prediction and personalized learning support. The proposed system provides an integrated platform combining multi-source student data collection, data preprocessing, feature engineering, machine learning analysis, learning-gap detection, Generative AI-based study planning and quiz generation, dashboard-based progress tracking, and continuous feedback. The system receives academic and activity-related student information and processes the data through cleaning, scaling, Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and feature selection. The processed information is analyzed using machine learning models including Random Forest and Logistic Regression to support early student performance prediction and identify learning gaps. Based on the analysis, the system provides personalized study plans, AI-generated quizzes, learning-resource recommendations, and progress tracking. The learning dashboard presents relevant performance information to the student and supports continuous monitoring and improvement through feedback. The invention provides an integrated workflow in which student data is converted into analyzed performance information, identified gaps are used to generate personalized learning support, and subsequent progress is monitored for continuous improvement. The system is intended to move beyond marks-only evaluation and provide a more holistic, skill- and performance-oriented approach to student development.
