MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641111550 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences on September 17, 2026, for Ai Based Smart Respiratory Disease Detection Using Lot & Deep Learning.
Inventors include N. Vishnu Brahmam; Dr. Tanmay Bharadwaj; and Dr Ramya Mohan.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: Respiratory diseases are among the leading causes of health complications worldwide, requiring early detection and continuous monitoring for effective treatment. This project proposes an AIBased Smart Respiratory Disease Detection System using IoT and Deep Learning to provide a real-time, low-cost, and efficient healthcare solution. The system integrates IoT sensors such as temperature sensors, pulse oximeters, and respiratory rate monitors to collect vital patient data continuously. The collected data is transmitted to a cloud platform through a microcontroller, where it is processed and analyzed using deep learning algorithms such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models. These models help in identifying abnormal respiratory patterns and predicting potential diseases like asthma, pneumonia, and other lung-related conditions.
