MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611088513 A) filed by K. R. Mangalam University on July 20, 2026, for Ai-Based Smart Health Monitoring Garment With Environmental Risk Assessment System.
Inventors include Dr. Narender Yadav; Barnali Bhattacharjee; and Indrajeet Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: A smart health monitoring garment system (100) carries a textile ECG electrode array (1), a respiration and thoracic expansion sensor zone (2), stretch and strain sensor bands (3), an activity and inertial measurement module (4), a photoplethysmographic sensing location (5) having emitters (5a) and a photodiode (5b), a sleeve zone (6), a posture sensor (7), a temperature sensor (8) and a power management unit (9). A detachable module carrying a particulate matter sensor (10), a multi-gas and air quality sensor (11), an indicator light emitting diode (12) and a mounting formation (13) is fixed at the collar so as to sample the breathing zone. A data acquisition module (102) time-stamps every channel to one clock, so the physiological and environmental records share a time base, and a wireless communication module (103) transmits them.
