Abstract: This novel invention introduces an Artificial Intelligence Fertilizer Smart Recommendation System that empowers farmers to determine the optimal type and quantity of fertilizer to apply for their crops. This smart farming solution gathers data from soil testing instruments, interconnected or IoT sensors, and weather information sources. The system's machine learning algorithm, which is trained by processing a massive amount of past data, then calculates the soil's precise lack of the three macronutrients i.e. nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium and other important micronutrients required for a flourishing crop. Utilizing the output, this innovation recommends an attractive, user-friendly fertilizer plan and sends it to the farmer via a mobile application, text messaging service or the automatic (IoT sprayer system). This invention contributes to environmental preservation through minimization of fertilizer use, reduces the unnecessary fertilizer use as well as the consequent wastage and cost, promotes increase in crops yield and is accessible and usable even for small-scale and medium farmers. In practical trials, the accuracy of this system was more than 94% whereas the usage of unneeded fertilizers decreased between 18 to 22%; thus, this system is a real, practical, and scalable solution for intelligent sustainable agriculture.
