Abstract: AI BASED SMART ATTENDANCE MONITORING SYSTEM ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an AI-based smart attendance monitoring system designed to automate, secure, and improve the process of recording attendance in educational institutions, offices, factories, and other organizations. The system uses artificial intelligence, computer vision, and facial recognition to identify authorized individuals in real time through cameras installed at entry points or designated locations. Captured images are processed using trained machine-learning models and compared with registered facial data stored in a secure database. Upon successful verification, the system automatically records the person’s name, identification number, date, time, and location without requiring manual signatures, cards, or biometric contact. The invention may also detect duplicate entries, proxy attendance, unauthorized access, and unusual attendance patterns. A centralized dashboard allows administrators to view records, generate reports, monitor late arrivals, track absences, and receive alerts. Cloud-based or local deployment options enable scalability and remote access. Data encryption, access control, and consent-based registration enhance privacy and security. The proposed system reduces administrative workload, minimizes errors, prevents attendance fraud, and provides accurate, contactless, and efficient attendance management for informed planning and timely organizational decision-making purposes.
