Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-Based Multimodal Communication System for Sign Language to Text and Speech Conversion with Voice-to-Emoji Translation. The system is designed to assist individuals with hearing and speech impairments by providing an efficient communication platform. A webcam is used to capture sign language gestures, which are processed using image preprocessing, feature extraction, and Random Forest machine learning techniques for accurate gesture recognition. The recognized gestures are converted into text and speech outputs. Additionally, the system captures voice inputs through a microphone and converts them into text using speech recognition techniques. Natural Language Processing is employed to analyze the recognized text and generate suitable emoji representations. The system also supports multilingual translation and realtime communication through a graphical user interface. The proposed invention improves accessibility, communication efficiency, and social interaction by integrating gesture recognition, speech processing, language translation, and emoji generation into a single intelligent platform. Furthermore, the system provides a cost-effective, user-friendly, and scalable solution that can be deployed in educational institutions, healthcare centers, rehabilitation facilities, workplaces, and public service environments. The invention has the potential to enhance inclusive communication and support future advancements in assistive technologies. The system minimizes communication barriers between differently abled individuals and the general public. It enables seamless interaction through real-time processing and accurate output generation. The invention supports improved user engagement and accessibility in various application domains. The integrated framework reduces dependency on interpreters and manual communication assistance. The proposed system contributes towards the development of smart and inclusive communication technologies for society.
