Abstract: Workplace monitoring is a highly marked aspect in which employee misconduct is increasing. Misconduct in workplaces includes activities such as phone usage, loitering, aggression, idle behavior, and unauthorized access to restricted areas, which affect productivity and safety. Traditionally, surveillance systems require continuous manual observation of CCTV footage, making the process time-consuming and prone to human error. However, this study explains an automated identification of the same by reducing errors using deep learning methods, mainly Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) integrated with YOLO-based object detection. The dataset consists of real-time video frames and images categorized as normal and misconduct activities, which are initially preprocessed for feature extraction and further analysis. This is followed by training the model, detecting employee actions, and classifying behaviors into predefined categories along with gender identification. The system processes frames in real time and stores the outputs accordingly for monitoring purposes. The obtained results demonstrate high accuracy and improved efficiency compared to traditional monitoring methods. This study using deep learning provides faster detection with reduced manual effort and increased automation. Therefore, the model is deployed as a software-based system.
