Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an AI-based real-time driver monitoring and emergency response system (100) configured for operation on a resource- constrained mobile computing device. The system (100) comprises a camera module (101), a facial analysis engine (102), an eye-state analysis module (103), an alert trigger mechanism (104), a location services module (105), a communication module (106), a background execution and power optimization module (107), and a local data management module (108). The system continuously analyzes facial landmarks and eye-state parameters to detect driver inactivity using an adaptive threshold. Upon detecting prolonged inactivity, the system generates a warning alert and, if unacknowledged, automatically retrieves the driver's live location and transmits an emergency alert to pre-registered contacts. Continuous background monitoring, controlled frame sampling, and energy-efficient processing ensure reliable, portable, battery-efficient, and cost-effective driver safety with improved emergency response.
