The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The present disclosure discloses an artificial intelligence (AI)-based system (100) for automated selection, design, and fabrication of patient-specific pontics based on edentulous ridge analysis. The system comprises a data acquisition module (104), a digital imaging module (116), an artificial intelligence processing module (120), a ridge analysis module (122), a machine learning engine (124), a predictive analytics module (126), a pontic design recommendation module (128), a material selection module (130), a computer-aided design (CAD) module (138), and a computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) module (140). The system acquires patient-specific clinical and radiographic data, automatically analyzes ridge morphology, bone density, soft tissue characteristics, and occlusal parameters, predicts an optimal pontic design using machine learning algorithms, recommends restorative materials, and generates customized three- dimensional digital pontic models for fabrication. The invention improves treatment accuracy, esthetics, periodontal health, prosthesis longevity, clinical efficiency, and reproducibility while reducing operator-dependent variability through an integrated artificial intelligence-assisted digital prosthodontic workflow.
