MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611099421 A) filed by Noida International University on August 17, 2026, for Ai-Based Postpartum Hemorrhage Risk Prediction And Early Nursing Intervention Support System.
Inventor includes Sanjoo Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides an AI-Based Postpartum Hemorrhage Risk Prediction and Early Nursing Intervention Support System designed to assist nurses and other authorized healthcare professionals in identifying women who may be at increased risk of PPH. The system collects relevant maternal, antenatal, obstetric, laboratory, labour, delivery, and postpartum information through a digital application. An artificial intelligence-based prediction module analyzes the available information and generates an individualized risk assessment. Based on the predicted risk, the system provides an alert and appropriate nursing decision-support information, including enhanced monitoring, assessment, preparedness, communication, documentation, and escalation according to institutional protocols. The application may also provide continuous reassessment when new clinical information is entered. An educational module can support nurses’ knowledge and clinical decision-making through learning content and case-based assessments. The invention is intended to improve systematic risk recognition, nursing preparedness, and timely escalation while supporting—not replacing—professional clinical judgment.
