MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631115840 A) filed by Brainware University on September 28, 2026, for Ai-Based Post-Delivery Display Panel Crack Causality Attribution System Using Transit Shock Correlation.

Inventors include Mr. Partha Pratim Dasgupta; Mr. Surath Roy; and Mr. Amitava Podder.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: A post-delivery display-panel causality attribution system comprises a factory-side baseline module, a transit-monitoring module, a delivery-side trigger, a comparison engine and an artificial-intelligence fault-classification module. The factory-side module records a cryptographically signed, timestamped baseline from a display panel's crack-detection circuit, or a dedicated addressable test line where the factory circuit is disabled after quality control, immediately before dispatch. The transit- monitoring module logs signed, timestamped shock events during courier transit using an embedded accelerometer or a smart-packaging shock tag. The delivery-side trigger automatically re-runs the crack-detection test at first customer power-on, and the comparison engine detects any deviation from baseline. The classification module correlates the deviation against the shock log to compute a shipping-damage probability score and generates a tamper-evident causality report for automated warranty or replacement-claim adjudication across smartphones, laptops and televisions.
