The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT AI-BASED PERSONALIZED NEWS BRIEFING SYSTEM WITH TRANSFORMER-DRIVEN SUMMARIZATION AND ADAPTIVE USER PROFILING The present invention discloses an AI-based personalized news briefing system (100) comprising a user interface module (110), a data retrieval module (120), a data preprocessing module (130), a summarization engine (140) employing a pre-trained BART transformer model, a personalization module (150), and an output display module (160) arranged in a layered architecture. The system (100) fetches real-time news articles from external news application programming interfaces based on user-selected categories, cleans and preprocesses the raw textual data, generates concise abstractive summaries using the BART transformer model achieving approximately sixty to seventy percent content reduction, filters and ranks the summaries based on adaptive user preference profiles, and displays the personalized news briefings through a web-based interface. The system provides reduced reading time, contextually accurate summaries, and personalized content delivery, thereby addressing the problem of information overload in digital news consumption. [
