Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of an AI-Based Pediatric Fall Prevention and Bed Exit Monitoring System, which will be able to help increase the safety of infants and children in hospitals, neonatal intensive care units, pediatric departments, and even home care environments. This system will combine non-contact video sensor, pressure sensors, wearable motion sensors, and the artificial intelligence technology in order to constantly monitor the posture, activity level, and bed status of a child. Machine learning systems will study the behavioral patterns of a child in order to identify the potential danger of the child's attempt to exit the bed and detect the fall accurately without making many false alarms. In case of detecting any risks, the system will immediately send audio and visual notifications as well as messages via wireless communications to the caregiver. FIG.1
