Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an AI-based Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) monitoring system for continuous real-time monitoring of neonatal physiological parameters. The system comprises medical-grade sensors for monitoring heart rate, SpO2, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and physical movement, along with a camera module for tracking eye closure and activity patterns. A Jetson Nano-based edge computing unit performs real-time analysis using artificial intelligence algorithms for anomaly detection and predictive identification of critical neonatal conditions including sepsis, apnea, bradycardia, and hypoxia. The system reduces false alarms through multi-parameter analysis and generates instant alerts via SMS, email, and dashboard notifications. A centralized dashboard provides visualization of trends and remote specialist access. The invention improves neonatal care, early intervention, and clinical outcomes in NICU environments.
