MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611089563 A) filed by Manipal University Jaipur on July 23, 2026, for Ai-Based Multimodal Hair And Scalp Diagnostic System With Biosensor Integration.
Inventors include Stuti Pandey; Ashish Pandey; Vishal Srivastava; and Mudit Yadav.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an AI-based multimodal hair and scalp diagnostic system (100) integrating an image acquisition module (110) with a CMOS camera sensor (111), microscope lens (112), and LED/UV illumination unit (113) for high-resolution scalp imaging, a sample analysis module (120) with a hair sample holder (121) and a biosensor module (123) for blood biomarker analysis, and a processing unit (130) with a CNN classification engine (133) for automated classification of hair and scalp conditions. The system performs multimodal data fusion correlating image-based classification results with hair strand parameters and blood biomarker data to generate comprehensive diagnostic reports with severity analysis and treatment recommendations. The system is deployable as a portable device, mobile application, or cloud-based platform, providing accessible, accurate, and real-time diagnostic capabilities for hair and scalp conditions.
