Abstract: Abstract The present invention provides an intelligent data analytics device comprising specialized hardware and computational learning elements, which processes data generated in next generation smart application environments to provide efficient on-site analytics with enhanced decision making capabilities while avoiding the limitations and inefficiencies of traditional centralized processing. The device comprises specialized processing hardware that enables high-efficiency localized processing of complex data streams generated at specific locations, local adaptation mechanisms to improve processing accuracy, enhanced security, energy efficiency, and compatibility with other systems. The device can be used in medical, agricultural, industrial, traffic, energy, smart city, and home application environments. The device comprises sensor interface circuitry, which receives and conditions incoming data from various sources, including different types of sensors. Further, the device comprises a specialized processing unit, which contains customized circuits that enable efficient computational learning model inference and adaptation. The processing unit also comprises memory elements, which store learned information and other data used for processing. The device comprises power management circuitry, which allows extensive operation of the device by selectively reducing the amount of power used and utilizing different power sources, including batteries and energy harvesting mechanisms. The device comprises a communication unit, which receives aggregated data analytics results, alerts, and control signals from other devices or computer systems. The communication unit does not transmit raw data or control signals directly but rather provides aggregated alerts or signals. The device enables improved data analytics processing in a variety of environments while providing increased processing efficiency. The device provides reduced time between input and output of processed information compared to systems that rely on remote processing and storage of data, reduced exposure of data to outside environments, reduced reliance on remote computer systems, reduced costs associated with processing data outside the system, and reduced need for retraining and maintenance of processing models. The device provides extensive processing capabilities that allow it to be used in a variety of environments and systems. It comprises standard interfaces for sensors, equipment, and computer systems, allowing it to work with different components. The device provides analytics data in different formats, including those amenable to further processing and comprehension by humans and other computer systems. Thus, different embodiments of the device can comprise various hardware-sensor interfaces, computational learning models, and output mechanisms that provide data analytics while maintaining the fundamental principles of localized processing, adaptation, power efficiency, security, and compatibility. As the present invention comprises a compact and efficient data analytics device, which provides enhanced processing capabilities in next generation smart application environments, it overcomes the limitations of the prior art and allows improved processing of data in local environments. The utilization of a hardware-software complex that employs customized circuits and computational learning elements can provide a basis for enhanced data analytics at the point of application and enable the development of improved smart environments and systems of different types.
