Abstract: Agriculture is encountering challenges such as labor shortages, increased production costs, ineffective resource utilization, and the need for sustainable practices. Traditional farming methods are mostly reliant on manual labor and independent automation, which rarely offer complete control of agricultural operations, limiting the ability to make simultaneous adjustments to large-scale operations. An AI-Based Intelligent Agricultural Multi-Robot System is proposed to address these issues by creating a multi-robotic framework that enables different robots to operate together to achieve specific agricultural tasks with minimal human intervention. The proposed system will comprise multiple robots that have been programmed to carry out different agricultural tasks such as monitoring, watering, spraying, harvesting, and surveillance. Each robot is equipped with sensors, cameras, and other required machinery necessary to carry out its assigned operation. Additionally, the robots have wireless communication hardware that enables them to upload the data they collect to an AI controller. The data gathered by the robots are processed using machine learning algorithms and computer vision in order to enhance decision making and optimize farming activities. The proposed system differs from other agricultural robots in that it uses multiple units that are capable of working together in a collaborative manner in order to achieve the desired outcome in a field without interfering with each other’s activities. Unlike existing systems, the system will be able to monitor, identify, and address issues affecting the crops such as disease and nutrient deficiency while at the same time spraying the affected areas and controlling the amount of water used during irrigation. The system will significantly reduce wastage of resources such as water and fertilizer while also increasing yields due to its advanced precision. The central command console can also store information related to the farm including data analytics and weather forecasts in order to enhance precision farming. Moreover, the system can be equipped with solar panels and batteries that enable continuous operations and minimal downtime.
