MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641078274 A) filed by Cvr College Of Engineering on June 25, 2026, for Ai Based Face Recognition Access Control System.

Inventors include G. Ravishankar Reddy; and K. Shashidhar Reddy.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-based face recognition access control system designed to provide secure, contactless, and efficient authentication for restricted environments. By leveraging cutting-edge computer vision technology, deep learning algorithms, and real-time image processing, the system can accurately recognize and authenticate individuals based on their facial traits. The data obtained from the face is captured on the camera and fed into a trained neural network that produces unique biometric signatures. The system matches the data captured with the template and admits access. The creation increases security, as it cuts down the possibilities for unauthorized entry, does away with the need for physical ID cards , and lowers the number of humans involved. It can be applied for corporate offices, education, healthcare and smart cities. The system can be scaled up and adjusted to environmental changes and still kept high accuracy in a variety of lighting and pose conditions.
