Abstract: The increasing computational capabilities of smartphones have made them powerful enough to perform many tasks traditionally associated with desktop computers. However, limitations such as small screen size, limited input mechanisms, and restricted workspace can reduce their effective-ness for productivity-oriented tasks. AIDeskX: AI-Based Deskmorph Environment Transfor-mation proposes an intelligent system that transforms an Android smartphone into a desktop-like computing environment by connecting it with an external monitor and companion input devices. The smartphone acts as the primary computing core, while the external display provides an ex-panded workspace and the smartphone can function as a companion control interface. The proposed system begins by detecting available Android devices through Android Debug Bridge (ADB) and establishing a connection with the companion display or computing environ-ment. After successful device detection, the system authenticates the connected device and ini-tializes the Dexify AI Engine. The AI engine assists in configuring and managing the desktop en-vironment based on the available resources and user requirements. AIDeskX supports both man-ual and automated modes. In manual mode, users can control desktop functions through con-trols provided on the smartphone, whereas automated mode enables the AI engine to assist in configuring and managing the connected desktop environment with minimal user intervention. The system is designed to provide a seamless mobile-to-desktop transformation, enabling us-ers to utilize a larger display, keyboard, mouse, and other peripherals while continuing to use the smartphone as the underlying computing device. It also supports real-time handling of user inputs and commands, allowing interaction between the smartphone and the connected desktop envi-ronment. The proposed architecture provides a foundation for intelligent workspace configuration, adaptive interaction, device management, and AI-assisted desktop control. Error detection and retry mechanisms are incorporated to handle unsuccessful device discovery or connection at-tempts, improving system reliability. AIDeskX aims to provide a portable, flexible, and cost-effective computing solution for stu- dents, developers, professionals, and remote users who require a desktop-like workspace without depending entirely on a dedicated computer. By combining smartphone computing capabilities, external display connectivity, ADB-based device management, and AI-assisted environment transformation, the proposed system bridges the gap between mobile and desktop computing. The project demonstrates how an existing Android smartphone can be extended into a more ca-pable and interactive computing environment through intelligent software orchestration and com-panion-device control.
