Abstract: ABSTRACT [0015] Public transportation is one of the most widely used modes of travel, but traditional bus ticketing systems still depend heavily on conductors. In situations where a conductor is unavailable, the responsibility of issuing tickets often falls on the driver, increasing distraction and creating a serious safety risk. Existing digital ticketing systems mainly rely on smartphones, making them difficult to use for elderly passengers, rural commuters, and people with limited digital literacy. The proposed AI-Based Conductor-Free Ticketing System provides a smart, automated, and inclusive solution that eliminates the need for manual ticketing while ensuring accessibility for every passenger. The system combines Artificial Intelligence (AI), Speech Recognition, GPS, Computer Vision, Smart Card Technology, QR Code Generation, and Cloud Computing to create a seamless ticketing experience. Passengers can purchase tickets using voice commands, rechargeable smart cards, or GPS-based automatic fare calculation without requiring a smartphone. An AI-powered camera counts passengers automatically, while a QR-based printed ticket allows easy verification by transport authorities.
