MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641106161 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences on September 03, 2026, for Ai-Based Brain Tumor Risk Prediction System Using Multi-Modal Mri And Lifestyle Data.

Inventors include J. Alphonsa; Dr. V. Sheeja Kumari; and Dr Ramya Mohan.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The system described combines several methods into a cohesive framework to estimate an individual's risk of developing certain types of brain tumors. To do this, the framework intelligently analyzes an individual's brain MRI scans, daily routines, and socio-economic status. Each individual's MRI brain scans consist of numerous brain structures and patterns located within the brain that can serve as biomarkcrs and potentially indicate the presence of a brain tumor. These - -biomarkers can be identified using a convolutional neural network embedded within the system. Each individual's daily routine, as described in the prompt, includes factors such as sleep and physical activity, diet, stress level, and exposure to radiation and digital screens. These factors pan indicate the risk of a brain tumor and provide additional data for a deep learning model to analyze. The two data sources will then be merged and analyzed to address the complex relationships between biological markers and behavioral risk factors. The merged representation will then generate a tumor risk score reflecting the likelihood of a future brain tumor. Most diagnostic systems only find and diagnose a brain tumor after it has developed; this framework is differentrter
