MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641107282 A) filed by Semapi Instruments Private Limited on September 07, 2026, for Ai-Assisted Natural Frequency Test Method And System For Component-Level Structural Diagnostics Railway Wagon Bearing Assemblies.

Inventors include Kapu V A Pavan Kumar; and Sreevani Beesetti.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure describe AI-assisted natural frequency test method and system for component-level structural diagnostics railway wagon bearing assemblies. It relates generally to railway bearing inspection, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance systems. More particularly, the disclosure relates to an AI-assisted Natural Frequency Test (NFT) method and system for component-level structural diagnosis of railway wagon axle bearing assemblies. The disclosure relates to controlled impulse excitation, vibration response acquisition, frequency-response analysis, natural frequency and response magnitude extraction, and generation of component-level structural baselines for individual bearing components prior to assembly. The disclosure further relates to integrating the component- level NFT baseline with rotational vibration data obtained from a Slow-Motion Test (SMT) of an assembled bearing and processing the combined data using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques for fault identification, severity classification, and generation of a Go/No-Go bearing health verdict.
