Abstract: ABSTRACT AI- BASED MOTOR FAULT DETECTION Electric motors are extensively utilized across a wide range of applications, and their failure can result in significant consequences, including production losses and increased maintenance costs. This project presents an artificial intelligence (AI)-based motor fault detection system designed to monitor motor conditions and identify faults at an early stage. The proposed system operates by continuously acquiring data such as vibration, temperature, current, and acoustic signals from the motor through appropriate sensors. The collected data is processed using a microcontroller and subsequently analyzed using artificial intelligence techniques to detect abnormal behavior.By comparing normal operating conditions with faulty patterns, the system is capable of identifying issues such as overheating, excessive vibration, and electrical faults. Upon detection of a fault, the system generates an alert and may also initiate preventive measures, such as shutting down the motor, to mitigate further damage. This approach enhances operational safety, reduces maintenance costs, and extends the overall service life of the motor. The proposed system is cost-effective, scalable, and suitable for both small-scale and industrial applications, thereby providing a reliable solution for modern motor condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
