Abstract: The agricultural sector continues to face significant challenges due to the dominance of intermediaries, resulting in reduced profitability for farmers, lack of price transparency, delayed payments, and limited direct market access. Traditional agricultural trading methods rely on manual negotiations, local agents, and fragmented supply chains, which often disadvantage small and marginal farmers. AGROLINK proposes a technology-driven solution aimed at transforming agricultural trade by enabling direct and transparent interactions between farmers and buyers through a digital platform. The proposed system leverages modern mern-stack web technologies to create a centralized agricultural marketplace that facilitates real-time product listing, order management, and secure digital transactions. The core technology stack includes a React-based frontend for an intuitive user experience, a Node.js and Express backend for efficient request handling, and MongoDB for scalable storage of user profiles, product data, and transaction records. Secure authentication mechanisms and role-based access control ensure reliable interaction among farmers, buyers, and administrators. Farmers can register on the platform and list agricultural produce with detailed information such as price, quantity, and availability, while buyers can browse listings, place orders, and complete purchases using an integrated online payment gateway. The system supports real-time order updates and status tracking, enabling transparency throughout the transaction lifecycle. An administrative interface allows monitoring and management of users, products, and orders to ensure system integrity and prevent misuse.
