Abstract: AGRISENSE ROVER is a gesture-controlled smart agricultural robotic system developed for real-time soil moisture monitoring and precision farming applications. The invention integrates wireless gesture-based navigation with intelligent agricultural sensing to assist farmers in efficient field inspection and irrigation management. The system consists of a wearable gesture sensing controller, wireless communication module, microcontroller unit, robotic mobility platform, motor driver system, and soil moisture sensing module. Hand movements detected through accelerometer and gyroscope sensors are converted into directional commands and transmitted wirelessly to the rover for real-time navigation across agricultural fields. During movement, the rover continuously measures soil moisture levels and identifies dry, normal, and overwatered regions, thereby supporting optimized water usage and reducing manual farming effort. Unlike conventional stationary agricultural monitoring systems, AGRISENSE ROVER provides a portable and movable robotic platform capable of dynamically inspecting multiple regions of farmland. The system further supports future integration of smart farming technologies including GPS tracking, obstacle detection, temperature sensing, humidity monitoring, internet connectivity, and automated irrigation assistance. The proposed invention offers a low-cost, user-friendly, and scalable solution for modern precision agriculture by improving irrigation efficiency, reducing water wastage, and enabling intelligent agricultural monitoring through advanced robotic and sensing technologies.
