Abstract: The AgriNova Microgreen Cultivation System is an innovative smart farming solution developed to overcome the limitations of conventional agriculture, including decreasing agricultural land availability, high water consumption, dependence on climatic conditions, and the increasing demand for fresh and nutrient-rich food. Traditional farming methods often require large cultivation areas, significant labour, and extended growing periods, making them less suitable for modern urban environments. The proposed invention addresses these challenges through a compact, automated, and resource-efficient microgreen cultivation platform. The system integrates advanced environmental monitoring, automated irrigation, intelligent control mechanisms, and energy-efficient lighting technologies to create and maintain optimal conditions for microgreen growth. A network of sensors continuously monitors critical parameters such as temperature, humidity, moisture content, and light intensity. The collected data is processed by a microcontroller-based control unit, which automatically regulates irrigation, ventilation, and lighting systems to ensure healthy and uniform plant development. This automation minimizes human intervention, improves cultivation accuracy, and enhances overall productivity. The invention utilizes a vertical and space-efficient cultivation structure that enables the production of large quantities of microgreens within a limited area. The smart irrigation system delivers the required amount of water based on real-time moisture levels, significantly reducing water wastage compared to conventional farming practices. The incorporation of energy-efficient LED grow lights ensures adequate illumination for photosynthesis and plant development, enabling year-round cultivation irrespective of external weather conditions or seasonal variations. AgriNova supports the cultivation of various nutrient-rich microgreens, including broccoli, radish, mustard, fenugreek, sunflower, pea, and spinach microgreens. These crops are harvested within a short growth cycle of approximately 7–21 days and are known to contain high concentrations of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and bioactive compounds beneficial for human health. The controlled cultivation environment minimizes exposure to pests and diseases, thereby reducing or eliminating the need for chemical pesticides and promoting the production of safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly food. The system is designed to be scalable and adaptable for diverse applications, including residential households, educational institutions, restaurants, healthcare facilities, research laboratories, urban farming initiatives, and commercial microgreen production units. By combining smart monitoring, automation, sustainable resource management, and modern cultivation techniques, AgriNova provides an effective solution for improving food security, promoting healthy lifestyles, and supporting sustainable agricultural development. Overall, the AgriNova Microgreen Cultivation System represents a next-generation agricultural innovation that enhances crop productivity, conserves natural resources, reduces operational costs, and enables continuous production of fresh, high-quality microgreens in a compact and controlled environment, contributing significantly to the future of smart and sustainable farming.
