MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621056771 A) filed by Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute Of Technology, Pimpri, Pune - on May 05, 2026, for Agentic Ai In Cybersecurity Threat Hunting.
Inventors include Mrs. Vasudha Phaltankar; and Ms. Harshada Patil.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The current invention is concerning a new system and a new technique that implements Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) with cybersecurity threat hunting practices to automatically identify, examine, and prevent cyber threats in real-time. The system uses self- directed AI agents which can reason, make decisions, and dynamically adapt to new threats by simulating human-like intelligence. These agents exchange messages between one another to create a multi-agent collaborative structure that is capable of identifying and responding to threats quite fast on multiple levels of the network. The system is constantly improved through the use of natural language processing, reinforcement learning, and anomaly detection algorithms to process zero-day attacks, phishing, ransomware, and insider threats with little human supervision. The architecture of the invention includes data collection units, AI decision engines, predictive analytics, and response automation units, which allow the cybersecurity ecosystem to develop self-learning and self- healing. The agents do not only monitor and correlate system logs but they also produce contextual insights to anticipate future threats. The invention thereby converts the conventional reactive threat detection frameworks to an autonomous, adaptive, and proactive defense models to make the entire system resilient, scalable and more accurate in the current cybersecurity infrastructures.
