Abstract: The present invention discloses an Advanced System for Surveillance and Monitoring through Key Logger Integration, designed to operate as a background daemon on a host computing device, providing comprehensive real-time monitoring and forensic data collection. The system architecture is built upon a concurrent, multi-threaded framework that orchestrates four distinct operational modules to capture user activity across multiple dimensions without obstructing normal system usage. First, an Input Monitoring Module utilizes a low-level hardware interface listener to intercept and record alphanumeric keystrokes and control sequences in real-time. This module enforces an immediate-write persistence policy, flushing captured inputs to a local log file instantly to prevent data loss during volatile memory failures. Second, a Visual Surveillance Module operates in a dual-mode capacity: it captures high-resolution static screenshots of the desktop environment upon initialization for baseline evidence, and simultaneously instantiates a lightweight, local HTTP server to broadcast a continuous, low-latency Motion JPEG (MJPEG) video stream of the user’s screen activity to remote observers. Third, a System Reconnaissance Engine automatically queries the operating system kernel and external network APIs to aggregate critical environmental data, including the machine’s hostname, private and public IP addresses, processor architecture, and operating system version, while also harvesting transient data from the system clipboard. Finally, a Data Exfiltration and Persistence Module manages the secure transmission of collected intelligence. Upon detecting a termination signal or system shutdown event, this module automatically aggregates all generated log files and visual evidence into a MIME-multipart encrypted email message and transmits them via Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to a pre-configured administrative destination, ensuring successful data retrieval even in the event of a forced system interruption. The system further incorporates cross-platform compatibility logic to adapt capture methods dynamically for Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
