Abstract: Advanced System for Real-Time Pavement Assessment and Optimization Using AI and Robotics This invention describes an integrated system for non-destructive pavement assessment and optimization, combining advanced sensor technologies, robotic automation, artificial intelligence, and cloud-based collaboration. The system features a mobile diagnostic platform equipped with tools such as ground-penetrating radar (GPR), falling weight deflectometer (FWD), seismic sensors, infrared thermography, high-resolution imaging, and 3D laser scanning for real-time, non-invasive evaluation of pavement conditions. An optional robotic core sampling module automates sample extraction and on-board analysis, minimizing disruption and enhancing operational efficiency. Artificial intelligence algorithms process the collected data to model pavement deterioration, predict remaining service life, and optimize rehabilitation or construction designs tailored to site-specific conditions. A cloud-based platform facilitates secure data storage, stakeholder collaboration, and integration of external datasets. By delivering precise diagnostics, predictive analytics, and actionable insights, the system enhances pavement management efficiency, extends infrastructure lifespan, and supports sustainable development.
