The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: Abstract: This particular invention relates to a road divider which is electrically powered and which has the ability to change its position based on the real-time count of the vehicles. There is a USB camera that captures live video of the two lanes and it feeds this information to the Raspberry Pi. The count of the vehicles in both lanes is identified using the YOLOv5 object detector algorithm running on the Raspberry Pi in every frame captured. In case the count of vehicles varies based on a particular threshold value, the Raspberry Pi runs an L293D H-bridge DC motor driver that controls the movement of the two DC motors thereby changing the position of the road divider towards the lane that requires more space due to congestion. At the same time, real-time data regarding the vehicle is transferred to the cloud dashboard using MQTT protocol. The counts of the vehicles and the position of the road divider are displayed using the 16x2 I2C LCD screen and there is also sound produced from the buzzer.
