MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411100926 A) filed by Amity University on December 19, 2024, for Advanced Modular Interaction Device (amid): Multifunctional Gesture Recognition Glove And Wearable Command And Communication Glove.
Inventors include Pratham Gupta; and Pradeep Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a sensor-based wearable interaction device configured to detect hand movements, gestures, pressure, and physiological parameters for enabling intuitive human–computer interaction. The device comprises motion sensors, finger-level sensing elements, biometric sensors, a processing unit, wireless communication modules, and feedback components integrated within a wearable form factor such as a glove or hand-mounted interface. The sensed data are processed using predefined algorithms and optionally artificial intelligence-based models to recognize gestures, analyze user activity, and generate corresponding control outputs. The invention enables applications including gesture-controlled music modulation, remote control of electronic devices, gaming interaction, rehabilitation and hand- strengthening assistance, sign-language translation, biofeedback-based mental wellness monitoring, and adaptive user comfort management. The device further incorporates efficient power management, optional energy harvesting, and sustainable materials to support prolonged usage. The invention provides a versatile, scalable, and user-centric wearable platform for real time interactive control across multiple digital and physical environments.
