Abstract: Advanced Liquid Antiviral Formulation for Plants Incorporating Ribavirin and Defense-Inducing Biopolymers The present invention relates to a synergistic antiviral foliar soluble liquid composition system comprising ribavirin in a concentration ranging from 30 to 80 g/L, sodium salicylate in a concentration ranging from 15 to 50 g/L, and chitosan oligosaccharide in a concentration ranging from 5 to 20 g/L, integrated with a surfactant–humectant system including polysorbate-20 and glycerol and a citrate buffer maintaining pH in the range of 5.8 to 6.5 to form a stable aqueous formulation, wherein the composition is configured for dilution in a range of 1 to 5 mL per liter to deliver an effective molar concentration of 0.4 to 0.8 mM ribavirin, achieving viral load reduction in the range of 70 to 95 percent, disease severity reduction in the range of 60 to 90 percent, and synergistic enhancement of 1.5 to 2.5 fold, with improved foliar uptake, retention, and minimal phytotoxicity.
