Inventors include Dr. Arunya Revathi A; Dr. Saurabh Srivastava; Dr. Gaurav Kumar Bharti; Pooja Nanasaheb Ghodekar; Mr. Sanjeet Kumar Borah; Dr. Sk Mahmudul Hassan; and Prof. Dr. P C K Rao.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of a sophisticated IoT sensor network architecture that is built to ensure precise, scalable and continuous environmental data gathering. Utilizing LPWAN protocols and multi-modal sensors, this architecture allows the gathering of air quality statistics, the purity of water and climatic changes in large geographical regions. Edge computing is used to ensure real-time filtering of the data, which helps to lower both the latency and the power usage. In addition to that, the machine learning algorithms allow processing the raw sensor data to filter out the ambient noise, make predictions and detect anomalies. Experimental results confirm the improvements in terms of measurement precision, battery life and fault tolerance compared to traditional architectures. FIG.1
