MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611057976 A) filed by Dr. Surjeet Singh; and Mrs. Kusum on May 07, 2026, for Advanced Interlocking Assembly For Plates And Screws Used In Orthopaedic Surgeries.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of Orthopaedic surgeries to minimize the risk of loosening and leaving their position of screws (specially interlocking screws) on plates after operation, which may give the result to mal union/Non union/delayed union, joint stiffness due to start late physiotherapy (patient are advised to restrict movement if screws get loose) and causing severe pain which badly affects the good relationship between the surgeon and the patient.
