MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631094412 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology, Patna on August 04, 2026, for Advanced Intelligent Fuzzy Based Control System And Method For Controlling Nonlinear Dynamic System.

Inventors include Kumari, Vinita; and Kumar, Anupam.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hybrid single-input fractional-order interval type-2 fuzzy control system and method for controlling nonlinear dynamic systems. The control system comprises a reference trajectory generation unit, at least one error generation unit, at least one fractional-order derivative unit, at least one representative input generation unit, at least one interval type-2 fuzzy controller, at least one gain unit, at least one motor drive unit, and a feedback path establishing closed-loop control. The representative input generation unit generates a single representative input from a tracking error and a corresponding fractional-order derivative, representative of an operating condition of the nonlinear dynamic system. The interval type-2 fuzzy controller performs single-input interval type-2 fuzzy inference using the representative input to generate a control output, processed to produce actuator control signals for controlling the nonlinear dynamic system. The disclosed control architecture enables reduced-dimensional fuzzy inference while maintaining robust closed-loop control of nonlinear dynamic systems. Fig. 3
