Abstract: Advanced Drug-Eluting Nanofiber Mesh for Accelerated Wound Healing and Infection Control This invention describes a drug-eluting nanofiber medical mesh for advanced wound care, integrating infection control and tissue regeneration capabilities. Constructed from biocompatible and biodegradable polymers, the mesh mimics the extracellular matrix to enhance cellular adhesion, migration, and proliferation. A dual-phase drug delivery system ensures immediate release of antibiotics to prevent infections and sustained delivery of growth factors to promote angiogenesis and tissue repair. Reinforced with nano-clay particles, the mesh provides enhanced mechanical strength and hydration retention, ensuring durability in high-tension areas. Embedded biosensors monitor critical wound parameters, including pH levels and bacterial activity, enabling real-time diagnostics and timely interventions. Anti-biofilm surface coatings prevent microbial colonization, while stimuli-responsive polymers allow precise therapeutic release based on environmental triggers. The mesh naturally degrades over time, eliminating removal procedures. This innovation addresses diverse wound care challenges, offering a holistic, efficient, and patient-friendly solution to improve therapeutic outcomes.
